It's time to shop!

Just between you and I - I only shop at Sephora during their Savings Events. Unless I underestimated what I needed and ran out of a favourite item during random times of the year, I save my makeup/skincare buying to the two times a year when Sephora offers a discount. Call me cheap or frugal but I think it’s smart shopping. In the meantime, I save any gift cards I receive from Christmas or my birthday to go towards my purchases because I like to stock up on my favourite items!
The dates for the savings event are as follows:
VIB Rouge - April 9-19 - 20% off
VIB - April 13-19 - 15% off
Insider - April 15-19 - 10% off
Over the past year, with all the time I’m spending at home or hiding behind a face mask, I’ve worn makeup only a handful of times. Unfortunately, I’ve really fallen out of love with makeup which is something I really used to love. This Sephora Savings Event, I would be surprised to see a single makeup item in my basket since my new passion has become skincare, especially specific skincare brands.
Over the last few months, I’ve fallen in love with the brand Laneige. I received quite a few Laneige gift sets for Christmas so I’ve been testing out their items and figured out that I like what they have to offer.
I’m planning on restocking one of my favourite products, the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Original as well as trying out a new flavour, Vanilla. If you know me you know I’m a sucker for anything vanilla so I’m so excited to give this lip balm a try!
I’ve also recently loved Laneige’s Water Sleep Mask, it’s a thin moisturizer that can be applied day or night, not just for sleeping like the title suggests. Another Laneige item I’m picking up is their Water Bank Eye Gel. It’s an under-eye cream that claims to tackle dryness, dullness, and loss of firmness and electricity. I’ve been using another under eye cream but still haven’t found my holy grail!
The Clinique Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel for spot treatment is one of my favourites. I’m fortunate to have figured out what my spot triggers are (I’ve stopped eating a lot of simple carbs and seriously cut back on sugar) so I haven’t needed this spot treatment that much, however, it’s always good to have it on hand in case I have a sudden breakout.
The final item I’m picking up is the Caudalie Vinopure Natural Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Serum. This pore-diminishing gel serum is lightweight, tightens clogged pores, draws out excess oil and bacteria, and refines skin texture. I’ve never used this product before however I have heard rave reviews and seen great results.
A few years ago I purchased the Foreo LUNA Mini 2 and absolutely love it. While Sephora now carries the latest version, the Foreo LUNA Mini 3, they both offer a similar result. With the promise of a decent facial with your favourite face wash or scrub, this tool is perfect for any skin type, it offers a gentle cleanse to remove dullness and uneven texture. It’s the perfect tool to effortlessly remove oil, sweat, and dirt from your skin.
You’ve got a week to pick up anything you’ve got your eye on! It’s the perfect time to stock up on your essentials or pick up a new favourite!
Happy shopping!
xx Lex
