Welcome, welcome, welcome!

I couldn’t be more excited to be writing the first post of the relaunch of LITC! While I had hoped the relaunch would’ve been sooner, I’m so happy that the time is finally here!

A lot has happened since I published my last post on June 29th! I successfully completed the final three courses of my undergraduate degree at York University, and have received confirmation from the school that I have indeed completed all the requirements in order to graduate this fall *sighs heavily in relief*! I also started back at my part-time job, which I had been away from since the pandemic began in the middle of March. While I felt like a fish out of water for the first few shifts, I’ve settled back into old habits and adapted to all the changes that have been made because of COVID-19. I have to say though that I am so incredibly grateful to be given the opportunity to return to my job. This year has really put into perspective for me that we all should be more grateful for the opportunities we have been given and especially the people that make up our inner circles.

As I mentioned before, I had wished that the relaunch of my blog would’ve been sooner. I had originally planned the relaunch to be the week after I finished classes but I hadn’t realized just how mentally drained I had been completing my degree. This buildup had been growing over the 4 years that I had been in university, and it finally caught up to me once I submitted my final assignments and exams. I needed a mental break from everything; especially technology so I had a digital detox following the submission of my final assignment. I unplugged for a few days from social media and just relaxed. It was a glorious few days and I would highly recommend everyone doing a digital detox whenever they have the opportunity. I’m already planning my next!

I have so many plans for Lex in the City and I can’t wait to share them all with you! While I wish to keep the same schedule as before, the consistency of my work schedule is never guaranteed so I will be publishing a new post whenever I can. I don’t want to lose the magic of my blog and become stressed because of it so I will write and publish when I can! I hope you understand!

I’d like to take this opportunity and thank my brilliant editor and dear friend, Ankanee Lagunarajan. This blog wouldn’t be possible without you and your amazing editing knowledge!

Thank you so much to everyone who has returned to my little blog! I’m so excited about all the content I plan on sharing with you! And of course, if you ever have anything you’d like to see me write about, or just want to say “hi,” reach out to me through the Contact page or message me on any of my social sites!

Until next time...!

xx Lex
